Madonna denies ditching her personal trainer

MadonnaMadonna denies that she ditched her personal trainer Tracy Anderson over the workout expert’s new relationship, insisting she just wanted to try a different fitness regime.

Anderson worked with Madonna for three years and is credited with helping the singer achieve her toned, lithe body, reports contactmusic.com.

“I did not ditch or fire her. I simply wanted to try a new method of working out when my tour ended. We remain friends and I wish her and Philippe all the best,” said Madonna.

Madonna's Sticky & Sweet tour breaks top-selling record

Pop star Madonna's recently concluded Sticky & Sweet world tour has been voted as the highest-grossing US jaunt of the year.

The star's series of shows in North America raked in $105.3 million, leaving behind Celine Dion, who came second in the list, taking $94 million on her first US tour since her five-year residency in Las Vegas, reports contactmusic.com.

The Eagles took third place with more than $73 million for their series of dates.

The top five highest-grossing tours of the US in 2008 were rounded out by country singer Kenny Chesney with $72 million and Bon Jovi with $70 million.

Madonna leaves sweet impact on Mexican fans

At the age of 50, she was dressed in shiny black leather bikini, fishnet stockings and Gothic high-heeled boots by French fashion house Givenchy's chief designer Riccardo Tisci.

"All right, Mexico!" American "Pop Queen" Madonna showed up in a throne on the stage Saturday night and kicked off her first concert after 15 years of absence in this city.
Mexico City was the first leg of Madonna's global tour in Latin America. From Saturday night through early Sunday morning, the "Pop Queen" successfully enchanted over 100,000 fans in the local Foro Sol Stadium.
Award-winning "Music" was sung when the concert hit its climax. Fans cheered with their idol in intensive Mexican waves as the blonde "material girl" demanded more love and more ardor.
