She achieved so by quitting the use of alcohol.

In the end, she could lose 20 pounds.

The buzz is that Goldie Hawn’s actress daughter found the perfect diet solution by cutting out her favourite boozy beverages, but she also disclosed that it was very difficult for her to stop using these beverages, especially wine and tequila.

She reportedly told Elle magazine, "I love my glass of wine. I love tequila. To be in New York for two weeks and not have one beverage, I’m not sure I’ve ever done that!"

Oscar winner Cate Blanchett will play Lady Edwina Mountbatten in upcoming Hollywood movie “Indian Summer” which will focus on the last days of British rule in India.

To be released in 2011, this Universal Pictures drama will be directed by Joe Wright and written by Oscar nominated William Nicholson, and will show Britain’s Lord Mountbatten handing over the power during the summer of 1947 to Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first prime minister, said a press release.

Based on Alex von Tunzelmann’s book “Indian Summer: The Secret History of the End of an Empire”, the film will reportedly follow the important events during India’s Independence.

The film willl go on floors early next year.

Sources close to Lohan have claimed that she sees real parallels between her life and that of the tragic star and is pitching a remake of the film to Hollywood bosses, reports hollywood.com.

According to OK! magazine, director Brett Ratner has already rejected the idea, but Lohan isn’t giving up.
