Lindsay Lohan out of ‘The Other Side’

Lindsay Lohan is out from the director David Michaels’ new film “The Other Side”.

“Our team simply chose to move on from Lindsay and we’ll soon be announcing a replacement,” usmagazine.com quoted writer-director David Michaels as saying.

The 23-year-old actress was set to play a student working on a deserted island. The film’s financial backers were nervous about relying on Lohan and didn’t think she was “bankable”, a source said.

Another source said that the film’s failure to get financing had “nothing to do with Lindsay. It was because it was an unknown director. All the major stars in this film dropped out,” reported the website.

The cast of the movie will have Woody Harrelson, Giovanni Ribisi, Dave Matthews and Alanis Morissette. Brittany Murphy was also attached to the project before her December death.

Lohan was last seen in 2007 film “I Know Who Killed Me”. Her next role is in thriller “Machete” that will release in September this year.

The guests at DJ Ruckus’ birthday party were shocked to see ‘Mean Girls’ star completely in control.

The Hollywood actress-singer is famously obsessed with Monroe and has posed for two Monroe-themed photoshoots in the Spanish Vogue and the New York magazine. She also has a quote from the late actress’ film to be remade tattooed on her wrist.

Sources close to Lohan have claimed that she sees real parallels between her life and that of the tragic star and is pitching a remake of the film to Hollywood bosses, reports hollywood.com.

According to OK! magazine, director Brett Ratner has already rejected the idea, but Lohan isn’t giving up.

Lindsay Lohan, who has reportedly dropped from size 10-12 to a drastic 6, has left friends worried over her diminishing health.

The ‘Mean Girls’ actress had earlier denied rumours claiming that she had fallen victim to an eating disorder and had been bitten by the size zero bug, reports China Daily.

"Lindsay has locked herself in the bathroom and cut herself in the past. Samantha is aware of this and has hidden razors from Lindsay," said the source.
